Manager Category Management

The Global Procurement team will be structured with category teams having end to end accountability for category management, sourcing, contracting, and supplier relationship management for assigned categories. These category teams will be enabled by procurement colleagues in an expanded Center of Excellence, an International Markets team, and a Capability Center all accountable for driving consistency and efficiency.

In this role typical day might include performing the following :

• Supports Category teams implementing their category strategies, via market analysis, spend analysis, supplier evaluation, and risk management.
• Collaborates with the Center of Excellence on maintenance of category management templates.
• Responsible for driving consistency across category management teams through supporting analyses and stage gate presentation materials.
• Responsible for the tracking and reporting of internal requests received and actioned by the category management enablement team according to the engagement plan.
• Works closely with the co-located data and analytics teams to demonstrate internal and external data sources in finding opportunities, trends, and patterns to forecast strategic direction and strategy.
• Supports strategies for non-managed / developing categories and subcategories, as required
• Facilitates the sourcing process by assisting in the preparation of RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs, and by handling the collection and analysis of responses.
• Supports and summarizes results from sourcing and SRM events with comparative analysis of responses, pricing, and evaluations.
• Archives category management materials including opportunity analyses, category plans and presentations and SRM materials.
• Contributes to continuous improvement of the source-to-contract process. This may include, but not limited to, responding to audit information requests, participating in compliance reviews, suggesting improvements to Global Procurement processes, policies, tools, templates, and training materials.
