Role : Proposal Manager - Plant Engineering
Experience : 16-18 Years
Educational Qualification : B.Tech / M.Tech
Technical Competencies : In depth knowledge of developing proposals in Multidiscipline Engineering Projects in Oil and Gas, Power Plants, Water Treatment Plants, Refineries and Petrochemicals
Responsibilities
To lead and manage Proposal team for all proposal related activitiesReview enquiry documents and other related materials to extract and identify all relevant technical and commercial requirements for the proposal.Conduct Bid / No-Bid evaluations for all enquiries received and advise on pursuit strategy.Organize and lead proposal kick-off meetings to align stakeholders and define deliverables.Develop detailed work breakdown structures (WBS), effort estimations for each discipline, and resource loading charts.Coordinate with all relevant engineering disciplines (Civil, Mechanical, E&I, etc.) to ensure timely inputs for proposal preparation.Allocate tasks across the proposal team, follow up on progress, and ensure overall quality and completeness of the proposal.Develop and manage the overall proposal schedule, track milestones, and maintain a log of action items.Identify proposal-specific risks and develop mitigation strategies; maintain a detailed risk register. Prepare and compile all proposal submission documents in accordance with client requirements and deadlines.Support the Sales team during the proposal phase, including participation in customer meetings to address technical queries, clarifications, and proposal walkthroughs.Submit the final proposal in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client specifications.Conduct Win / Loss analysis for all submitted proposals and maintain a lessons-learned database for future reference.Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree with 16–18 years of relevant experience, or master’s degree with 12–14 years of experience.Proficiency in tools such as MS Project, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office Suite.Professional certifications such as PMP (PMI) are desirable.Prior experience in engineering services companies is preferred.Strong multidisciplinary knowledge, especially in Process, Piping, Mechanical, Structural, Electrical & Instrumentation disciplines.Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills.Strong organizational, planning, and time management capabilities.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to effectively engage with internal teams, suppliers, and clients
