Plant Head

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Plant Head to lead the comprehensive operations of our automotive or auto component manufacturing plant. This pivotal role involves driving manufacturing excellence, optimizing resources, fostering a safety-first culture, and achieving ambitious production, quality, and cost targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the overall operations of the plant, ensuring production targets, quality standards, cost efficiency, and delivery timelines are consistently met.
• Translate organizational vision and strategy into actionable plant-level goals and initiatives to ensure sustainable performance and growth.
• Drive world-class manufacturing excellence through the deployment of Lean Manufacturing Systems , including TPM, TQM, Kaizen, 5S, SMED, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ensure optimal utilization of resources (man, machine, material, and method) to maximize output and operational efficiency.
• Oversee end-to-end plant functions including production, maintenance, quality, supply chain, engineering, safety, and HR .
• Implement robust systems for demand forecasting, capacity planning, and production scheduling to achieve On-Time In-Full (OTIF) delivery targets.
• Lead initiatives for modernizing plant layouts, automation, and adoption of advanced technologies to improve productivity and scalability.
• Establish and monitor plant-level KPIs (PQCDSM—Productivity, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, and Morale) to drive data-based decision-making and continuous performance improvement.
• Maintain high standards of quality control and ensure reduction in internal rejections, customer complaints (PPM), and process wastage through First Time Right practices.
• Lead cost optimization efforts in areas such as inventory management, logistics, freight, energy usage, and material procurement to enhance plant profitability.
• Drive energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives, ensuring minimal environmental impact and regulatory compliance.
• Foster a safety-first culture , ensuring strict adherence to EHS guidelines and SOPs to create a safe working environment.
• Develop and nurture a high-performing team through structured talent development, capability building, and succession planning.
• Strengthen relationships with OEM customers, auditors, and key stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain business continuity.
• Collaborate closely with central functions (Corporate, R&D, SCM, Sales) to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
