Role Overview
The Manager - Business Development will be responsible for driving sales through strategic partnerships with leading architects and interior designers. The role demands strong networking, relationship-building, and business acumen to expand the company's presence in the modular kitchen and wardrobe segment.
Key Responsibilities (KRAs) :
- Develop and manage strong professional relationships with architects, interior designers, and key decision-makers.
- Generate new business opportunities through direct engagement and networking within the architecture and interior design community.
- Identify and onboard new architect partners and nurture existing relationships for repeat business.
- Understand architect and client requirements to propose customized design and product solutions.
- Meet sales targets by promoting and selling modular kitchens, wardrobes, and related interior solutions.
- Maintain a robust architect database and continuously expand the network through referrals and events.
- Collaborate with the design, production, and marketing teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Represent the brand at industry exhibitions, trade shows, and networking events.
- Provide regular market feedback, competitor analysis, and insights to management.
- Drive performance-based outcomes through focused, result-oriented efforts.
Required Skillsets :
Proven experience in handling architect accounts and generating business in the interiors or building materials domain.Strong personal network of at least 50+ architects across South India.Deep understanding of modular furniture, lighting, hardware, paints, sanitary fixtures, and related products.Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for managing elite clientele.High negotiation and persuasion abilities to close high-value deals.Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, go-getter attitude and a drive for high incentives.Strong planning, time management, and target achievement orientation.Ability to work independently with a flexible schedule and deliver results under minimal supervision.Knowledge of local markets, design trends, and industry dynamics in the architecture / interior sector.(ref : iimjobs.com)
