Specialist - E-commerce SaaS Platform
About the Role :
We are looking for a highly technical and customer-focused Implementation Specialist to lead the successful adoption of our cutting-edge e-commerce SaaS platform, Base, for our clients. Based in Bangalore, this role is critical for bridging the gap between customer business processes and our technology, requiring strong technical skills to execute complex integrations and deliver tailored, automated solutions. This position involves significant domestic and international travel (approximately Lead End-to-End Implementation : Drive the entire lifecycle of client onboarding, from initial technical discovery and scoping through to configuration, deployment, and successful go-live of the Base e-commerce SaaS platform.
- Technical Solution Design : Deeply analyze and understand complex customer e-commerce workflows, operational processes, and integration requirements to design and document tailored technical solutions that leverage the platform's capabilities and align precisely with defined business goals.
- System Integration and Deployment : Collaborate seamlessly with internal Product, Engineering, and DevOps teams to ensure smooth and effective technical integrations, data migrations, and production deployments, serving as the technical interface for the client.
- Automation and Configuration : Write, test, and deploy production-ready scripts (primarily in PHP or Python) and perform deep system configurations to automate recurring customer processes (e.g., data syncs, inventory updates, order routing) and enhance overall system performance and stability.
- Technical Support and Training : Provide expert-level technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to clients during the critical onboarding phase, and offer ongoing technical assistance post-implementation to ensure long-term value realization.
- Onsite Engagement and Relationship Management : Travel frequently (approx. 50%) to client sites for key deployment milestones, detailed technical discovery sessions, conducting hands-on training for client teams, and fostering strong strategic technical Experience : 2-5 years of practical experience in e-commerce SaaS implementation, Technical Consulting, Solutions Engineering, or a similar customer-facing technical delivery role.
- Technical Problem Solving : Possess a tech-first mindset with a demonstrated passion for solving complex, real-world customer challenges through highly adaptable technology and structured technical thinking.
- Programming Fundamentals : Strong understanding of core programming fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms, with demonstrated coding experience being a significant advantage for scripting and integration work.
- Customer-Centric Focus : Ability to adopt an end-user perspective to proactively anticipate pain points, optimize platform configuration for maximum user experience, and drive measurable business value delivery.
- Self-Driven Work Ethic : Proven ability to effectively manage complex projects, prioritize tasks independently, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
- Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (minimum B2+ proficiency) with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Technical Skills :
Languages : Proficiency in PHP or Python for scripting and automation (proficiency in both languages is preferred).API and Version Control : Hands-on experience building and debugging integrations using REST APIs and strong familiarity with Git for version control.Database : Practical working knowledge of MySQL, including writing complex queries, data modeling, and performance considerations for e-commerce datasets.Frontend Familiarity : Familiarity with JavaScript and modern frontend principles is a plus for troubleshooting web-based platform issues.Preferred Skills :
Prior experience specifically implementing or working with e-commerce systems (e.g., Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce) or multi-channel marketplace integrations (e.g., Amazon, eBay, Flipkart).Direct experience with specialized e-commerce integration or multi-channel listing platforms such as BaseLinker or similar solutions.Certification or demonstrable expertise with major cloud provider platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).Experience in a B2B SaaS environment focused on high-volume transactions and inventory management.(ref : hirist.tech)
