The Director – IT (Provider Domain) plays a pivotal leadership role in driving the successful delivery of application development projects and programs within the Payor–Provider ecosystem. This position requires a blend of strong technical acumen, strategic leadership, and deep domain expertise in the US Healthcare Payer industry, particularly across Provider-related functions such as credentialing, contracting, directories, and provider data management. The Director will oversee a large, cross-functional team of Developers, Product Owners, and Business Analysts, ensuring strategic alignment, efficient resource utilization, and high-quality delivery outcomes.

Key Responsibilities :
Leadership & Team Management
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Provider IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and performance excellence.
- Directly manage a core team of employees while overseeing a broader group of 60+ resources, including Developers, Product Owners, and Business Analysts.
- Conduct performance reviews, mentor team members, and drive career development initiatives.
- Identify skill gaps and implement strategies to strengthen team capabilities.
Delivery & Project Management
Lead the end-to-end delivery of IT projects within the Provider domain, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.Proactively manage risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring smooth project execution.Oversee the development and delivery of scalable, high-quality software solutions aligned with business needs.Resource Management & Planning
Develop resource and capacity plans aligned with organizational goals and project priorities.Lead demand forecasting to ensure optimal resource allocation across initiatives.Collaborate with Product Owners to align staffing and technical resources with key priorities.Stakeholder Management & Communication
Build and maintain strong working relationships with US counterparts and internal stakeholders.Serve as a key communication bridge between technical and business teams, providing clear updates on progress, risks, and mitigation plans.Present project and delivery updates to senior leadership.Technical Expertise & Strategy
Maintain a deep understanding of relevant technologies, including Mainframe, Java, and API integrations.Provide technical direction and ensure adherence to architecture and development best practices.Contribute to the definition of IT strategies, technology roadmaps, and modernization initiatives for the Provider domain.Required Qualifications :
15–18 years of IT experience, with at least 10 years in the US Healthcare Payer industry.Strong domain expertise in Provider functions — Credentialing, Contracting, Directories, and Provider Data Management.Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional application development teams.Demonstrated success in project delivery, resource planning, and stakeholder engagement.Hands-on experience with technology stacks such as Mainframe, Java, and APIs.Strong vendor management, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills within a matrixed organization.Leadership Attributes :
