Role Overview

As a z / OS Administrator , you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and performance optimization of IBM z / OS mainframe environments. The role requires deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a hybrid model with cross-functional teams across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain IBM z / OS operating systems and related subsystems.
• Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning for mainframe environments.
• Manage system upgrades, patches, and software maintenance to ensure stability and compliance.
• Provide support for disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Collaborate with application, storage, and network teams to ensure seamless operations.
• Maintain system documentation, standard operating procedures, and technical knowledge base.
• Ensure compliance with IT security and audit requirements.
• Mentor junior administrators and provide technical leadership within the team.
