Job Description –Z / OS AdministratorCompany : TecezeLocation : Bangalore / Chennai / NoidaWork Mode : HybridExperience : 8 – 10 YearsRole OverviewAs a z / OS Administrator , you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and performance optimization of IBM z / OS mainframe environments. The role requires deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a hybrid model with cross-functional teams across multiple locations.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, and maintain IBM z / OS operating systems and related subsystems.Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning for mainframe environments.Manage system upgrades, patches, and software maintenance to ensure stability and compliance.Provide support for disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution.Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues, ensuring minimal downtime.Collaborate with application, storage, and network teams to ensure seamless operations.Maintain system documentation, standard operating procedures, and technical knowledge base.Ensure compliance with IT security and audit requirements.Mentor junior administrators and provide technical leadership within the team.Required Skills & Qualifications8–10 years of proven experience in z / OS administration .Strong expertise in IBM mainframe systems including z / OS, JES2 / JES3, RACF, SMP / E, TSO / ISPF .Experience with performance monitoring and tuning tools.Knowledge of mainframe storage management, system automation, and disaster recovery tools.Hands-on experience in system upgrades, patching, and maintenance.Familiarity with ITIL practices (Incident, Change, Problem Management).Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.Strong communication skills with the ability to work across global teams.Preferred SkillsExposure to mainframe modernization initiatives.Experience with security tools and compliance frameworks.Knowledge of cloud integration with mainframe systems is an added advantage.
