This is afull-time, 1-year contract role , requiring direct alignment with our Canadian team and clients during their business hours. You will be responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise-gradePower BI solutionsthat deliver actionable insights. The role demands deep technical expertise across the Power BI ecosystem, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesReport & Dashboard Development : Design, develop, and deployhighly interactive Power BI dashboards and paginated reports .Advanced DAX : Writeoptimized, reusable, and maintainable DAX measuresto deliver complex calculations and KPIs.Data Modeling : Buildrobust semantic modelswith star / snowflake schema, composite models, and optimized relationships for performance.ETL with Power Query : Perform advanceddata transformation, cleansing, and shapingusing Power Query (M language).Performance Optimization : Tunequeries, data models, and visualsfor large datasets to ensure scalability and speed.Row-Level Security (RLS) & Governance : Implement RLS, dynamic security, and role-based access following best practices.Power BI Service Management : Configure and manageworkspaces, datasets, dataflows, and gateways .Embedding & Integration : DeployPower BI Embeddedsolutions within client portals and applications.Microsoft Fabric : Utilize components of Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, Dataflows, Pipelines, etc.) to enable modern analytics solutions.Deployment & Version Control : Work withdeployment pipelines, ALM Toolkit, and source control integration .Collaboration & Support : Partner with the Technical Lead and Canadian team during EST hours for requirement gathering, solution delivery, and client presentations.Monitoring & Maintenance : Proactively monitor refreshes, scheduled reports, and system health.Required Skills & ExperienceMust-Have : 4+ years ofdedicated experience as a Power BI Developer .Willingness and ability to work 5 : 30 PM – 1 : 30 AM IST.Expert-level DAXknowledge with proven ability to handle advanced business logic.High proficiency inSQLfor querying, joins, stored procedures, and performance optimization.Strong expertise indata modeling, RLS, and Power BI Embedded .Experience withPower Query (M language)for complex data preparation.Familiarity withMicrosoft Fabricand its analytics components.Solid understanding ofdata refresh strategies(incremental refresh, direct query, import, composite models).Strong communication skills inEnglish , both written and verbal.Nice-to-Have : Experience withAzure data services(Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks).Knowledge ofcustom visuals development(using Power BI Developer tools).Familiarity withperformance benchmarking tools(DAX Studio, Tabular Editor).Microsoft certifications such asPL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst Associate)or higher.Experience working withinternational consulting clients .What We OfferA stable,long-term 1-year contractwith competitive compensation reflecting night-shift alignment.The opportunity to work onhigh-impact, international projectsin analytics and AI.Acollaborative, supportive, and fully remotework environment.Potential forcontract extensionbased on performance and business needs.
