We are seeking a Robotics Operations Manager who can bridge technical execution with operational excellence. The ideal candidate will be hands-on with robotics systems—covering installation, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance—while also overseeing day-to-day operations, procurement, vendor management, and team logistics.
This dual role requires a self-learner with strong technical acumen, problem-solving ability, and organizational skills to support both development / testing teams and senior management.
Key Responsibilities
Technical (Robotics & UAV Systems)
Install, configure, and calibrate robotic subsystems for optimal performance.Conduct unit and full-system testing, including outdoor trials, and collect performance data.Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical issues during testing and field operations.Perform regular maintenance and software / hardware updates to ensure system reliability.Support data collection, annotation, and analysis during product development.Perform pre-flight preparation and inspection of UAV platforms.Diagnose and debug hardware and flight-control issues in multirotor both during and post flights.Knowledge of drone's components (motors, ESC, autopilots, etc) and sensors (IMU, compass, barometer, GPS, etc).Knowledge of various types of batteries and power distribution systems.Maintaining flight logs and datasets collected during various flights.Knowledge of various drone companies present in the market.Operational & Managerial
Procurement & Vendor Management : Place orders, coordinate with suppliers, and ensure timely deliveries from both local markets and domestic / international shipments.Inventory Control : Track and manage parts, equipment, and office supplies; maintain readiness for testing / deployment.Logistical Support : Organize field trials, office setups, travel plans, and team requirements.Documentation & Reporting : Maintain detailed technical logs, procurement records, and performance reports.Team Collaboration : Work with development, testing, and management teams to ensure smooth operations and timely project execution.Office management : Managing and hiring labours for day-to-day work and ensuring daily operations are done efficiently.Qualifications
Education : Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Mechanical, Computer Science, Robotics, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Equivalent experience also considered.
Experience :
Minimum 3 years' experience in a robotics / technical operations role, preferably in a start-up, R&D, or defence-tech environment.Prior exposure to procurement, vendor management, and field testing is a strong plus.Prior experience in defence / aerospace product testing and deploymentTechnical Skills :
Familiarity with robotics and UAV systems and hands-on technician skills (e.g., board-level soldering, assembling, using test equipment like multi-meters).Ability to debug and maintain hardware / software subsystems.Drone flying skills are a plus.Hands on experience on Microsoft tools.Core Skills :
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.2 Wheelers and 4 Wheelers driving skills.Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.Additional Requirements :
