Operations Manager
- Burns McDonnell India is seeking candidates for the role of Operations Manager in the Transmission Distribution (TD) industry. The TD Operations Manager will be responsible for the managerial direction and leadership of the TD Global Practice working directly with the TD BMcD India Vice President and Bengaluru Regional Office Manager. This includes supporting and executing business strategy, delivering quality projects, developing high performance teams, coaching developing leadership, and promoting the Burns McDonnell culture, values, and mission. The TD Operations Manager will drive the team in a dynamic and profitable manner based on Burns McDonnells core values of safety, client satisfaction, commitment, dedication, integrity and overall outstanding service.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the development and execution of BMI TD operations strategies and goals.Promote, maintain and advance internal relationships.Manage initiatives for growth, revenue and business plan goals for the BMI TD offices.Support offices to achieve stated targets and standards for financial performance and growth.Provide leadership, development and guidance to the BMI TD offices.Review, implement, and attain TD business plans across the regional offices and global offices supported by BMI TD.Liaise between BMI TD offices and applicable corporate initiatives.Liaise between BMI TD offices and TD global offices.Facilitate and manage the distribution of tools and resources across all regional offices.Promote and manage internal relationships to establish guidelines and executable plans for conducting business.Help establish BMI position in Burns McDonnell s Global TD business through strategic planning and business plan development with a focus on continued growth in market share and profit.Prepare and implement market development plans to identify strategies, including plans for events, presentations, and relationship building for new clients.Assist with recruiting, hiring, developing, and retaining outstanding employee-owners.Organize, lead and conduct the performance appraisal process for the employees.Interpret policies, purposes and goals of the organization.Adhere to and be responsible for Burns McDonnell Quality Control program.Promote safety culture and mindset while ensuring compliance with company and site safety policies.Support diversity initiatives.Perform other duties as assigned while complying with all policies and standards.Qualifications
Bachelors (or Masters) degree in any Engineering discipline from a recognized university14 years of total experience in engineering or consulting organization, preferably in the Transmission Distribution Industry.Prior experience and expertise in client and business developmentPrior experience and expertise in managing projects, which includes proposal development, project planning, design team coordination communication, budgeting, schedule management, and client coordinationExpert facilitation, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated success as to budget, savings and / or profit margins in completed projectsAbility to thoughtfully and positively influence, lead and manageExcellent planning and analytical skillsExcellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clientsExpert knowledge of project management methodologies and tools including the use of Microsoft Project or equivalentHands-on experience in leading and managing large teamsAbility to swiftly adapt to changes, make informed decisions, foster innovation and lead teams effectivelyReadiness to travel to domestic and international locations to engage with employees and regional office teamsSkills Required
