Role Overview
The Area Manager will be responsible for the overall operational excellence of assigned
retail stores and the Dark Stores This includes end-to-end oversight of ordering, indenting,
receiving, storage, billing, manpower management, customer experience, and adherence to
company SOPs.
The role requires strong Team Building capabilities with leadership, process orientation, and
cross-functional coordination with internal departments (Maintenance, Licensing, Marketing,
etc.).
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
- Oversee daily operations of retail stores ensuring smooth functioning.
- Manage ordering, indenting, receiving, storage, GRN, billing, and material
movement.
Ensure accurate inventory management and timely replenishment of stocks.Monitor and drive adherence to company SOPs across all operational areas.Team & People Management
Build, Lead, train, and motivate store teams to achieve operational excellence.Ensure that the stores are equipped with proper staff members at all time and canbuild teams for new units.
Ensure optimal manpower planning, rostering, and productivity on a regular basis.Process & Compliance
Implement and monitor hygiene, safety, and compliance standards.Coordinate for timely renewals of licenses and regulatory requirements.Ensure 100% adherence to product quality and handling protocols.Last Mile Deliveries
Oversee last-mile delivery processes ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and customersatisfaction.
Co ordinate with agencies for dedicated last mile bikers and optimal usage of 3PLApp riders.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Liaise with central teams for maintenance, marketing activations, and real estaterequirements.
Work closely with procurement, finance, and HR for smooth alignment of processes.Reporting & Analysis
Track store performance metrics (sales, shrinkage, wastage, manpower costs,customer feedback).
Prepare and present Weekly & Monthly reports as per shared formats.Candidate Profile
Education & Experience
Graduate in any discipline. Hotel / Retail Management Preferred.4-5 years of experience in managing retail operations, distribution centres, or multi-store formats (FMCG, QSR, Food & Beverages preferred).
Skills & Competencies
Strong product & process knowledge in retail / food operations.Capabilities to manage Blue Collar staff, and build teamsProficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and POS systems.Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and drive process improvements.Flexibility to travel across assigned stores and DC and other Cities wheneverrequired.
