Job Description
The Sales Manager will be responsible for managing the complete sales cycle — from handling new project enquiries and tender specifications to order finalization, billing, and payment collection. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between customers, technical, operations, and factory teams to ensure smooth order execution and customer satisfaction.
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Manage enquiries for new projects, regular customer requests, and GeM tenders, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
- Coordinate with the Sr. GM – Regional Operations, Erection, and Technical teams to finalize product rates, erection charges, and tender specifications.
- Prepare and submit technical and commercial offers; follow up with customers through visits, calls, and emails to track offer status.
- Finalize orders and forward supply details to Cheyyar Works, coordinating with the CAD Department for BOQ preparation and approvals.
- Oversee material arrangements by liaising with the factory, Purchase, and Logistics teams to ensure timely dispatches.
- Manage customer payments — including advance collection, billing, and follow-up for final balance payments.
- Prepare and maintain order booking, billing, collection budgets, and lost order records for reporting and performance tracking.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.5–8 years of experience in industrial or project-based sales (preferably in fabrication, mechanical, or heavy engineering).Strong communication and negotiation skills.Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with GeM portal operations.Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams effectively.Willingness to travel as required.Requirements
