Role Overview
The Investment Specialist is a critical, senior advisory role requiring a PG / Master degree, focusing on driving sales and product penetration across a specified region.
This position demands deep expertise in various financial products, including Mutual Fund, Alternate Investment Fund, and strong competency in areas like Investment Banking and Investment Counsellor practices.
The incumbent will be responsible for Concept Selling, training internal sales teams, managing key distributor relationships, and providing vital market feedback.
Job Summary :
We are seeking a highly skilled Investment Specialist (PG / Master preferred, CFA desired) responsible for driving product level targets for specified Equity and Debt products across the region through Concept Selling.
Key responsibilities include leveraging distributor relationships, conducting regular technical training sessions for internal employees (ensuring a Common Pitch), articulating market outlook to distributors and key clients (UHNIs, Family Offices), and providing critical ground and competitor feedback to the central Investment teams to enhance product strategy and business activities.
Key Responsibilities and Investment Advisory Deliverables
Sales Strategy and Product Penetration :
- Be Responsible for Concept Selling across the region, focusing on the value proposition of financial solutions rather than just products, leveraging strong distributor relationships.
- Be Responsible for Product Level targets for the Zone for certain specified products across Equity and Debt, working to create a positive environment to drive a product-specific agenda.
- Work with the Sales Team in increasing distribution spread and product Mix across the region.
Training and Knowledge Leadership :
Conduct Regular Training and Knowledge Sessions for Internal Employees across the Zone for continuous knowledge upgrade on products, market dynamics, and regulatory changes.Keep the Sales Team updated with any product related information and ensure each employee speaks the same language (Common Pitch) when interacting with clients and distributors.Support to create simpler communication on Focused Products along with the central Product team.Distributor and Key Client Management :
Conduct Regular Huddles / Conference Calls / Meetings with Distributors and effectively articulate products and Market Outlook, simplifying all aspects of the Capital market.Position products in the best interest of all stakeholders (distributors, investors) and adhere to principles of an Investment Counsellor.Accompany Sales RMs in key distributor meetings (Advisory IFA, UHNI, Private Wealth RM) and closely manage Key Family Offices / UHNIs in the respective region.Actively work on D & E (Development & Engagement) counters with the Sales team and include them as part of their branch visits.Market Intelligence and Feedback :
Provide critical ground Feedback for enhancing business activities and any other feedback pertaining to branch / distribution / team / Customer Service gathered during branch visits.Give market feedback to Investments on Competition Products Positioning and Product sales in market.Feedback to Investments team on Distributor / Investor queries on Funds / Products.Mandatory Skills & PG / Master degree.
Core Skills : Expertise in Mutual Fund, Mutual fund sales, Alternate Investment Fund, Investment Counsellor, and Investment Specialist.
Product Knowledge : Strong understanding of Equity and Debt products and capital markets.
Sales Method : Proven ability in Concept Selling and leveraging distributor relationships.
Advisory Focus : Experience managing relationships with Advisory IFA, UHNI, and Private Wealth RM.
Preferred
