We are seeking a highly result driven Business Development Manager with 8–12 years of experience in Product engineering, IT / OT integration, Embedded systems, Process automation, and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background combined with proven business development skills to drive growth in industrial automation, SCADA / PLC / DCS systems, product engineering, and embedded engineering solutions.
The candidate will play a pivotal role in identifying opportunities, developing strategic client relationships, and supporting end-to-end sales activities for our engineering and digital solutions portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive business development initiatives in IT / OT integration, Process Automation, Product Engineering, and Embedded Engineering Services.
- Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities in target geographies (USA / Canada).
- Engage with CXOs, engineering directors, and procurement leaders to position solutions effectively.
- Lead account mining and expansion within existing strategic accounts.
- Collaborate with technical and delivery teams to create compelling proposals, solutions, and delivery models.
- Track industry trends and build market intelligence for process automation and engineering domains.
- Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline and revenue forecast aligned with company growth targets.
- Represent the organization at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings.
- Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations and capability pitches.
- Ensure smooth transition from sales to delivery, with clear documentation of scope and client expectations.
Required Skills & Experience
8–12 years of experience in business development / sales in engineering or technology services.Proven expertise in at least two / three of the following domains :IT / OT integration (SCADA, MES, historians, cybersecurity)Process automation (SCADA, PLC, DCS systems)Product engineering servicesEmbedded engineering solutionsStrong understanding of industrial automation, digital transformation, and Industry 4.0 technologies.Experience in building and managing multi-million-dollar sales funnels and long-term client relationships.Technical qualification : Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent discipline (electronics / instrumentation / automation background acceptable).Excellent communication, articulation, and negotiation skills.Strong ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams (delivery, engineering, and leadership).Experience working with global clients (US / Europe preferred).Preferred Qualifications
MBA or equivalent business qualification is a plus.Exposure to Digital Twin, Industrial IoT, AI / ML for automation, or advanced process control (APC) will be an advantage.Demonstrated success in account mining and structured sales growth.Skills Required
