Job Title : Data Platforms SQL Server Reliability Engineer with AWS Cloud Expertise, Senior Analyst

Job Overview :

The Bank is seeking an experienced Senior SQL Server Database Administrator with knowledge of AWS Cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SQL Server administration coupled with expertise in AWS services, particularly AWS RDS SQL Server / Aurora and DMS. Individuals with proficiency in infrastructure as code tools like Terraform, scripting languages such as Python, Java script, Bash, PowerShell, and experience with serverless computing using AWS Lambda functions are preferred. MS-SQL as primary - Database adminstration and Support ; Exposure to Cloud RDS, EMR products and support.

Responsibilities include :

Design and Implementation :

• Design, deploy, and manage SQL Server databases on premises and in AWS RDS, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect and implement hybrid cloud database solutions aligned with business requirements.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Python, Bash, Ansible, PowerShell and Terraform to automate the provisioning and configuration of a hybrid cloud database environment.
• Migrate on premises databases to AWS using DMS, DMS CDC and development custom CDC scripts.
• Collaborate with data engineers, DevOps, and other stakeholders to define database requirements and solutions.
