ABOUT WARTEX SYSTEM
Wartex System is a leading manufacturer of prestressing solutions for India's infrastructure sector with 17+ years of experience. We've contributed to iconic projects including Bandra-Worli Sea Link, Mumbai Metro, Bullet Train, Atal Setu, and DFCC Corridor.
Operating from our 87,000 sq. ft. facility in Nashik, we provide complete prestressing solutions—anchorages, HDPE / GI sheathing, hydraulic equipment, and execution services. Currently exporting to Nepal, Sri Lanka, Oman, and Ethiopia, we're aggressively expanding into Africa, Middle East, and South Asia.
THE ROLE
We're looking for an experienced Business Development Head to lead our sales expansion across India and international markets. You'll drive revenue growth, manage our sales team, and establish Wartex as the go-to partner for prestressing solutions in major infrastructure projects.
This is a high-impact leadership role with direct reporting to the CMD and genuine scope to shape our growth trajectory.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Business Growth & Strategy
- Drive pan-India sales and spearhead international expansion (Africa, Middle East, South Asia)
- Identify and close high-value opportunities in bridges, metros, expressways, tunnels, and industrial projects
- Build relationships with major contractors (L&T, Tata Projects, HCC, Afcons, NCC, etc.), consultants, and government bodies
- Lead export business development and establish distribution networks in target markets
Sales Leadership
Manage and mentor the existing sales team to achieve revenue targetsSet performance metrics, conduct reviews, and build a high-performing sales cultureRecruit and develop talent as we scale operationsGovernment & Tender Management
Navigate government procurement processes (NHAI, metro corps, PWD, railways, MSRDC, etc.)Lead tender identification, bid preparation, and negotiationsBuild relationships with decision-makers in infrastructure departmentsManage approvals and certifications across relevant bodiesAccount Management
Cultivate long-term relationships with key clients and consultantsEnsure customer satisfaction throughout project lifecycleCoordinate with technical teams for customized solutions when neededWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Experience & Background
10+ years total experience : minimum 5 years in infrastructure field sales + 5 years managing sales teamsProven track record in infrastructure / construction industry (bridges, metros, heavy civil projects)Strong experience with government tenders and bureaucratic navigationPan-India sales operations experience preferredUnderstanding of prestressing, civil engineering, or construction equipment is a big plusEducation
B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fieldMBA or postgraduate qualification in Sales / Marketing is preferred but not mandatoryKey Skills
