Role Overview :
As a Senior E-Commerce Cyber Fraud Specialist within Abbott's Product Cybersecurity team, you will collaborate with global business units to prevent, detect, and respond to cyber fraud incidents across multiple international e-commerce platforms and customer support solutions.
You will ensure new e-commerce initiatives and online support platforms are secure by design, with robust fraud prevention and detection controls embedded from the outset. This role requires strong analytical, investigative, and collaborative skills, as you will monitor threat intelligence, identify patterns, lead remediation efforts, and provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders worldwide.
Key Responsibilities :
Cyber Fraud Strategy & Advisory :
- Act as a subject matter expert on e-commerce cyber fraud threats, trends, and countermeasures.
- Advise business, technology, and operations teams on policies, procedures, and best practices for cyber fraud prevention.
- Conduct cyber fraud threat modeling for new and existing e-commerce and customer support platforms.
Fraud Detection & Response :
Onboard and configure e-commerce applications for cyber fraud monitoring.Utilize detection tools and data analytics to identify and triage suspicious activity.Develop, maintain, and optimize fraud detection and incident response playbooks.Lead investigations into cyber fraud incidents, ensuring swift containment and resolution.Perform deep-dive data analysis to uncover root causes, tactics, and systemic vulnerabilities.Monitoring & Intelligence :
Continuously track global cyber threat intelligence specific to online fraud.Discover and document the tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) of fraud actors.Periodically report on the fraud posture of each e-commerce environment, highlighting risks and improvements.Capability Building :
Explore opportunities to enhance fraud detection capabilities and integrate advanced protection tools (e.g., Accertify, Kount, reCAPTCHA).Provide training and knowledge-sharing sessions to internal teams on fraud awareness and prevention.Qualifications & 4 -7 years of experience in Cybersecurity, with at least 3 years in banking, e-commerce anti-fraud, or cybersecurity fraud prevention.
Strong understanding of fraud techniques, tools, and procedures used by cybercriminals.Hands-on experience with cyber fraud threat intelligence.Experience in developing and managing cyber incident response processes and playbooks.Proficiency with digital investigations, data analysis, and relevant scripting tools.Familiarity with cyber threat modeling methodologies.Proven ability to work collaboratively across multiple global teams.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Assurance, or related Experience with fraud detection platforms such as Accertify or Kount.Experience in optimizing bot protection tools such as reCAPTCHA.Prior exposure to Financial Services or Retail industry environments.(ref : iimjobs.com)
