COBOL Developer - Mainframe Environment

About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced Senior COBOL Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining COBOL-based applications, with a deep understanding of legacy systems and mainframe environments. You will work closely with business analysts, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and efficient solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using COBOL (Mainframe / Micro Focus COBOL).
• Enhance, debug, and optimize existing legacy applications.
• Work with JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, and other mainframe tools / environments.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Perform system analysis, design documentation, and code reviews.
• Support production systems, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolutions.
• Ensure code quality, performance, and compliance with established standards.
• Participate in migration, modernization, and integration projects (if applicable).
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.
