Associate Consultant / Consultant - Neonatology

Job descriptionAssist senior consultants and work as part of a multidisciplinary care team Coordinate with pediatricians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure integrated neonatal care Perform neonatal procedures such as intubation, surfactant administration, umbilical line insertion, etc. Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patient condition and clinical guidelines Maintain detailed and accurate medical records, progress notes, and discharge summaries Adhere to hospital protocols and neonatal care standards Communicate effectively with parents and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and prognosis Provide emotional support and counseling during critical care situations Participate in departmental academic activities, CMEs, and case discussions Stay updated with the latest research and guidelines in neonatology MD / DNB Pediatrics with Fellowship in Neonatology or DM Neonatology 0 to 2 years of post-qualification experience in a tertiary-level NICU Strong clinical acumen and patient-centered approach Excellent communication and teamwork skills Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including nights and emergencies
Key Responsibilities :
Clinical Care
- Provide comprehensive care to neonates including diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring in the NICU and nursery
- Manage preterm, low birth weight, and critically ill newborns requiring ventilatory and intensive care support
- Participate in resuscitation and stabilization of newborns in delivery rooms and emergency settings
