Key Responsibilities :
Clinical Care
- Provide comprehensive care to neonates including diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring in the NICU and nursery
- Manage preterm, low birth weight, and critically ill newborns requiring ventilatory and intensive care support
- Participate in resuscitation and stabilization of newborns in delivery rooms and emergency settings
Team Collaboration
Assist senior consultants and work as part of a multidisciplinary care teamCoordinate with pediatricians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure integrated neonatal careProcedures & Monitoring
Perform neonatal procedures such as intubation, surfactant administration, umbilical line insertion, etc.Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patient condition and clinical guidelinesDocumentation & Compliance
Maintain detailed and accurate medical records, progress notes, and discharge summariesAdhere to hospital protocols and neonatal care standardsCommunication & Counseling
Communicate effectively with parents and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and prognosisProvide emotional support and counseling during critical care situationsEducation & Learning
Participate in departmental academic activities, CMEs, and case discussionsStay updated with the latest research and guidelines in neonatologyDesired Candidate Profile :
MD / DNB Pediatrics with Fellowship in Neonatology or DM Neonatology0 to 2 years of post-qualification experience in a tertiary-level NICUStrong clinical acumen and patient-centered approachExcellent communication and teamwork skillsWillingness to work in rotational shifts, including nights and emergenciesSkills Required
