Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist senior CTVS surgeons in pre-operative evaluations, surgical procedures, and post-operative management of patients undergoing cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgeries.
- Participate in various surgical interventions including CABG, valve replacements, aortic surgeries, and vascular grafting procedures.
- Monitor and manage patients in ICU and high-dependency units, ensuring timely interventions and updates to senior consultants.
- Prepare detailed case histories, progress notes, discharge summaries, and maintain proper clinical documentation.
- Participate in emergency and elective procedures, including assisting in on-call CTVS duties.
- Coordinate with cardiology, anaesthesia, perfusion, nursing, and other allied teams for optimal patient outcomes.
- Engage in clinical audits, CMEs, M&M meetings, and research activities within the department.
- Adhere to hospital safety protocols, surgical hygiene standards, and infection control practices.
Desired Candidate Profile
M.Ch / DNB in Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgery from a recognized institution.0 to 2 years of experience in a CTVS unit or fresh pass-outs with strong clinical acumen.Sound understanding of cardiovascular anatomy, surgical principles, and ICU care.Willingness to work in a high-pressure, high-precision surgical environment.Strong communication and teamwork skills with a commitment to patient-centered care.Skills Required
