We have a fantastic opportunity for a business development executive in our BFSI Sales team. The right fit must be results-driven sales professional with expertise in the IT and BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) domain, specializing in driving digital transformation solutions for financial institutions.

Job Title : Senior Executive - Business Development ( IT BFSI Sales )

Location : Ghatkopar - Mumbai

Experience : 3 – 12 years (with proven experience in BFSI IT Sales)

Domain Focus : BFSI (Banking, Financial Services & Insurance)

Employment mode – Full-Time (Work from office)

Role Overview :

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving new business opportunities and managing client relationships within the BFSI domain . This role requires a strong understanding of IT solutions & services, banking processes, and financial technologies to position the organization as a trusted partner for digital transformation, IT services, and technology consulting.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Identify, prospect, and generate new business opportunities in the BFSI sector (banks, NBFCs, insurance, capital markets).
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships with CXOs, business heads, and decision-makers.
  • Understand customer requirements and map them with IT service offerings (Application Development, Core Banking, Digital Transformation, Cloud, Data Analytics, Cybersecurity, etc.).
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and solution pitches.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (pre-sales, delivery, product, marketing) to ensure client success.
  • Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitor positioning, and emerging technologies.
  • Manage end-to-end sales cycle including lead generation, negotiation, closure, and account management.
  • Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets in alignment with business objectives.

Required Skills & Competencies :

  • Strong knowledge of BFSI industry processes, regulations, and technology trends .
  • Proven track record in IT solution / service sales within BFSI clients.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build long-term relationships and influence key stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with BFSI IT platforms (Core Banking, Finacle, Flexcube, LifeAsia, Temenos, Insurance systems, Payment systems, etc.) is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and adaptable to dynamic business environments.
  • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration / IT / Finance or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 3–12 years of experience in Business Development / Sales within the IT services / BFSI domain.
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) :

  • New client acquisitions in BFSI sector.
  • Revenue growth & achievement of sales targets.
  • Pipeline generation and conversion rate.
  • Client satisfaction and account retention.
  • Market expansion and brand visibility in BFSI.
