About the Role :
We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented IT Hardware Sales Professional to drive business growth in the Government and PSU sector . The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in handling government accounts, knowledge of tendering processes, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets for IT hardware products and solutions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Identify, develop, and manage business opportunities with Government Departments, PSUs, and Educational Institutions .
- Handle the complete sales cycle — from lead generation and RFP / RFQ response to closure and post-sales coordination.
- Maintain strong relationships with procurement officials, system integrators, and OEM partners.
- Coordinate with internal teams for quotations, technical support, and timely delivery of products.
- Understand government procurement portals (e.g., GeM, CPPP ) and tender documentation.
- Achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets.
- Maintain and update the sales pipeline, forecasts, and customer databases.
- Stay up to date with new government projects, IT procurement trends, and vendor empanelments.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology / Computer Science / Electronics; MBA4–5 years of experience in IT hardware sales , preferably in the government sector .Strong understanding of servers, storage, networking, desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.Familiarity with OEMs like HP, Dell, Lenovo, Cisco, HPE, etc.Good knowledge of government tendering, empanelment, and rate contracts.Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Ability to work independently and handle multiple accounts simultaneously.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) :
Achievement of assigned sales targets.Number of new government accounts acquired.Tender participation and success rate.Customer satisfaction and retention levels.Revenue growth from existing accounts.
