Role Description
Since its inception Zensciences has always led its engagement through content and the depth
of understanding the business of a client. Content is the X factor that leads solutioning and it is
also important to know that content and storytelling is how most of our clients differentiate
themselves in the market. Remember, you are in the business of ideas and marketing. Not just
writing.
The Content Lead is responsible for working with the design and account management team of
the respective business units to build high-quality solutions to ‘solve for’ the client ‘problem
statement’.
Responsibilities : 1. Solutions :
You are responsible for building solutions / ideas and content strategy, doing
competition studies, including messaging and writing. You are accountable for the
complete ownership of any form of content for a particular client. You are also to
research, write, edit, provide reviews, feedback or content recommendations and
insights based on client needs. Also please stay current. Know your clients business
deeply, their share price, know the markets, market trends etc.
2. Delivery & Ops Mgmt
Ensure availability of team members to finish the job, on time. Ensure the right people
are hired, trained for the accounts in the business. Ensure utilization of the people
within the team is 100%. You will ensure TAT is adhered to for assets created by each
team member
3. Quality :
Reduce rework to minimum or zero. Ensure briefing and work planning is done
effectively and work is done in line with the expectations. You will need to get and
record client appreciation of the work for yourself and the team. Ensure all content is
safe to publish, checked and is true. Zero tolerance for copy / typo errors and
plagiarism. Content writing has to be contextual, and has to have storytelling, rather
than just writing.
4. Innovation :
In partnership with the account and design leads, identify opportunities and risks for
delivering content solutions, including identifying opportunities for up-sell. Implement
and use tools that enhance productivity
5. Team management & Training :
Manage, mentor, coach, uplift, train. Also weed out the bottom 10% religiously. Reward
the top 5%. Build a level 2 team, to take over your role.
6. Responsiveness & Communication :
Collaborate actively with clients, internal teams and other similar stakeholders to ensure
that content supports the business outcomes desired by clients. If an account manager
is slacking, pick up the phone and talk to the client. Be as front-facing as the AM / AD
