About the Role :

The Associate Vice President (AVP) – Debt Syndication & Investment Banking will be responsible for originating, structuring, and executing debt transactions, including structured finance and capital raising. This role involves working closely with corporates, financial institutions, and investors to structure innovative financing solutions. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of credit analysis, financial structuring, and debt syndication, with experience in managing end-to-end transactions.

Job Description :

Debt Syndication & Capital Raising

Originate, structure, and execute debt syndication, structured finance, and capital market transactions for corporate clients.

Develop and implement debt fundraising strategies , including term loans, working capital, structured debt, and mezzanine financing.

Build and maintain strong relationships with banks, NBFCs, financial institutions, and credit investors to ensure smooth syndication.

Transaction Execution & Structuring

Lead end-to-end execution of debt and structured finance transactions , including term sheet negotiations, due diligence, and documentation.

Structure customized financing solutions based on client needs, market trends, and risk assessment.

Collaborate with internal teams, including legal, risk, and compliance , to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

Financial Analysis & Risk Assessment

Conduct credit analysis, financial modeling, and risk evaluation for structured finance transactions.

Assess market conditions, interest rate movements, and industry risks to recommend optimal debt structures.

Prepare investment proposals, pitch books, and financial models for debt transactions.

Stakeholder & Client Management

Manage relationships with corporate clients, financial sponsors, and institutional investors to drive deal flow.

Act as a strategic advisor, providing insights on debt structuring, refinancing, and restructuring opportunities .

Negotiate deal terms with lenders and investors to ensure competitive pricing and efficient execution.

Qualifications & Requirements :

Education : MBA (Finance) / CFA / CA or an equivalent qualification.

Experience : 10 to 12 years in debt syndication, investment banking, or structured finance .

Industry Knowledge : Strong understanding of credit markets, structured finance products, and capital market instruments .

Financial Expertise : Proficiency in credit analysis, financial modeling, and risk assessment .

Network & Relationship Management : Established relationships with banks, NBFCs, credit funds, and financial institutions .

Regulatory Knowledge : Familiarity with RBI guidelines, SEBI regulations, and banking norms related to debt transactions.

Preferred Skills :

Experience in structured debt instruments such as securitization, mezzanine financing, and project finance .

Exposure to sector-specific financing in BFSI, Infrastructure, Real Estate, or Manufacturing .

Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills to drive complex transactions.
