This role works closely on a daily basis with suppliers and internal associates including planners and plant procurement associates to ensure high service and quality levels that align with negotiated supplier contracts; coordinates with purchasing, production, warehouse, and engineering personnel to ensure proper scheduling and movement of materials; maintains accurate inventory records to ensure sufficient levels of raw materials (Directs / Equipment); requires a degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related business degree with broad experience in purchasing and supervision; demands five or more years of work experience; holds authority to issue purchase agreements, blanket orders, and purchase orders within corporate purchasing policy to achieve desired results; has primary authority for sourcing items with qualified vendors; is responsible for selecting, training, motivating, promoting, and disciplining staff based on company policy; and normally reports to the Senior Procurement Manager or Operations Vice President.Skills Required
