L3 Firewall Operation Engineer - Network Security

About the Role :

Were looking for highly skilled Level 3 Firewall Operations Engineers to join our network security operations team. Youll be responsible for managing, troubleshooting, and optimising enterprise-grade firewall environments while driving automation and operational excellence.

This role requires strong technical expertise, quick responsiveness, and a commitment to collaboration and communication. The team is looking for individuals who are dependable, hands-on, and focused solely on this role (no moonlighting).

Shift Pattern (IST) :

Workdays : Wednesday to Sunday

Weekly Off : Monday & Tuesday

Shifts :

Shift 1 : 3 : 30 AM 12 : 30 PM IST (6 : 00 PM 3 : 00 AM ET) (Remote)

Shift 2 : 8 : 30 AM 5 : 30 PM IST (11 : 00 PM 8 : 00 AM ET) (From Office)

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide Tier 3 operational support for firewall incidents, requests, and problem resolution.
• Manage, configure, and troubleshoot Palo Alto, Cisco ASA / FTD, and Check Point firewalls.
• Analyze complex network traffic and security events to identify and resolve issues.
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for major firewall-related incidents.
• Maintain and audit firewall rule bases and policies to ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with network architecture and engineering teams on new deployments and upgrades.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts (Python, Ansible, Bash, etc.) to streamline repetitive tasks.
• Integrate firewall management processes into CI / CD or SOAR pipelines.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for critical after-hours incidents.
• Maintain accurate documentation for all firewall operations and procedures.
