Role : Senior Network Security Engineer : Pune, : 8 to 12 : Next-Gen Firewalls (Palo Alto), Network Security the Role :

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Security Engineer to help us scale, secure, and evolve Rapid7s global network infrastructure. This role is ideal for a hands-on problem solver who thrives in complex enterprise environments and is passionate about network security, automation, and next-generation firewall technologies.

Youll work on projects that matter, with a team of smart, committed, and collaborative professionals, making a tangible impact on the security of our business and Youll Do :

• Firewall Expertise : Configure, maintain, and optimize next-generation firewalls (Palo Alto, PAN-OS, Panorama), IDS / IPS, and segmentation policies.
• Automation : Build and maintain automation frameworks using Python or Golang to streamline provisioning, monitoring, and compliance tasks.
• Design & Build : Architect and implement secure, scalable enterprise networks.
• Zero Trust Evolution : Contribute to Rapid7s journey toward a Zero Trust networking model.
• Monitoring & Troubleshooting : Perform daily monitoring and advanced troubleshooting to ensure high availability and resilience.
• Collaboration : Partner with InfoSec, IT, and other engineering teams to deliver secure, integrated solutions.
• Compliance : Support standards compliance processes and security assessments.
• Cloud Security : Support secure network architectures in AWS and GCP, including VPCs, VPNs, and Were Looking For :
• 8+ years of experience in network engineering and security, with at least 5+ years focused on Palo Alto / next-gen firewalls.
• Strong expertise in enterprise networking (routing, switching, VPNs).
• Coding skills (Python or Golang) automation-first mindset.
• Relevant certifications : CCNA, CCNP, OSCP.
• Strong knowledge of network security standards, compliance, and best practices.
• Excellent troubleshooting, time management, and prioritization to Have :
• Experience with Identity & Access Management (IAM) and Zero Trust frameworks.
• Familiarity with AI-driven networking and security tools.
• Hands-on experience with Rapid7 solutions (InsightVM, InsightIDR, InsightConnect, etc.).
• Knowledge of vulnerability assessment and penetration testing Rapid7 :
