Job Description : Level 3 Network Engineer

Location : Pune

Technical Skills

Routing & Switching Expertise :

  • Proficient in Cisco Switches (45XX, 3750 / 6500 / Nexus) and Routers (ASR 1000 Series, 72xx / 2600 / 2800, 3800 series).
  • Skilled in Juniper switches and routers (EX Series, QFX Series, PTX Series, MX Series).
  • Strong experience in Nexus upgrades, configurations, and troubleshooting.
  • Expertise in IP routing protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP for configuration and troubleshooting in enterprise networks 1 .

Advanced Networking Protocols :

  • Knowledge of QOS, MPLS, VRF, and VRF lite.
  • Proficient in switching protocols like STP, RSTP, PVST, and port channeling.
  • Experience with HSRP, NAT, GLBP, and IP SLA configuration and troubleshooting

    • Security Platforms :

  • Strong experience with Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, or Juniper SRX security platforms.
  • Expertise in site-to-site VPN (IPsec), web, or SSL VPN .

    • Load Balancer Platforms :

  • Proficient in Citrix or F5 load balancer platforms .

    • SDWAN and Wireless :

  • Good experience with Cisco Meraki WAN devices, switches, and wireless access points .

    • Network Tools :

  • Familiarity with tools such as Wireshark, Network Observer, Netflow Analyzer, and MRTG

    • Behavioral and Organizational Skills

    Collaboration and Communication :

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with onsite clients and senior peers globally.
  • Client service-oriented with excellent delegation and follow-up skills

    • Team Leadership :

  • End-to-end ownership for service delivery.
  • Lead teams of network services professionals, including NOC and Level 2 support

    • Adaptability and Planning :

  • Assertive and flexible to meet business demands.
  • Ability to function effectively in a quality-conscious, process-driven, and productivity-focused organization

    • Availability

  • Must be available for ………... business hours and out-of-business-hours support .

    • Additional Skills

  • Familiarity with ITIL processes.
  • Proficient in network drawing and Microsoft Visio
