We are seeking an experienced and innovative Packaging Development Manager to lead the design, development, and implementation of packaging solutions for new and existing products. This role plays a critical part in balancing functionality, sustainability, aesthetics, and cost-effectiveness to support brand and business goals.

The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in packaging engineering, materials science, or related fields and a proven track record of managing packaging projects from concept through commercialization.

• Lead the design and development of primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging for products, ensuring alignment with branding, regulatory, and technical requirements.
• Manage end-to-end packaging development projects, including timelines, budgets, resources, and cross-functional collaboration (e.g., marketing, manufacturing, procurement, and quality teams).
• Evaluate and select materials and suppliers for new packaging initiatives. Work with suppliers on tooling, prototyping, testing, and implementation.
• Drive sustainable packaging initiatives by identifying environmentally friendly materials and reducing the environmental impact of packaging systems.
• Oversee package testing (e.g., drop tests, transit tests, shelf-life studies, compatibility, etc.) to ensure durability, compliance, and performance under real-world conditions.
• Ensure all packaging solutions meet relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards (FDA, EU, ISO, etc.) depending on the industry.
• Continuously identify opportunities to optimize packaging design, reduce costs, and improve efficiency throughout the supply chain.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, packaging specifications, drawings, BOMs, and testing protocols.
• Supervise and mentor packaging engineers or specialists, fostering a culture of innovation, quality, and collaboration.
