We are a Mainframe Subsystems Programmer with 7-10 years' experience, join our IT infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, upgrade, and optimization of mainframe subsystems, including CICS, DB2, IMS, and MQ, ADABAS. This role involves troubleshooting system issues, ensuring high availability, implementing security best practices, and supporting disaster recovery initiatives.

• System Installation & Maintenance : Install, upgrade, and maintain mainframe subsystems and related software.
• Performance Optimization : Monitor and fine-tune subsystem performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
• Problem Diagnosis & Resolution : Analyze system logs, dump analysis, and performance reports to troubleshoot and resolve subsystem issues.
• Security & Compliance : Implement security policies, RACF / ACF2 / Top Secret configurations, and ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
• Automation & Scripting : Develop and maintain automation scripts using Rexx, JCL, CLIST, or Python to enhance system efficiency.
• Disaster Recovery & Backup : Participate in business continuity planning, backup solutions, and recovery testing.
• Collaboration & Support : Work closely with application developers, DBAs, and operations teams to ensure smooth integration of mainframe subsystems.
• Capacity Planning : Monitor resource utilization for CICS, DB2, IMS, and MQ, planning for future expansion or upgrades.
• Software & Patch Management : Apply system patches, fixes (PTFs), and work with IBM or vendors for support when needed.

At BMC we believe in pay transparency and have set the midpoint of the salary band for this role at 2,628,600 INR. Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

The salary listed is just one component of BMC's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country specific benefits.
