- Through learning forums, you'll ensure the prioritisation and focused use of learning budgets, in-line with the bank's priorities, regulatory and customer requirements

What you'll do
Learning drives business impact and growth, fuelling a high-performance culture. The Learning and Development Centre of Expertise leads the way in upskilling the workforce at pace, achieving better and simpler colleague experiences.
As a Learning & Development Partner, you'll be partnering with business ExCo members and HR teams to optimise employee and business performance through correctly identifying, prioritising and implementing learning, leadership and development interventions, and aligning these to business needs, professional standards and regulatory and conduct obligations.
You'll be developing and implementing a capability strategy for each business or function which encompasses technical or regulatory learning, professional standards and accreditation, leadership development and talent management, in partnership with the business and in-line with the bank's approach.

Using your consultancy skills to undertake initial learning needs analysis for all learning and development requirementsChairing learning forums to drive business engagement, alignment and collaboration, and feed in and out of the bank's governance meetingsActing as a member of the function's leadership team, contributing to financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, resource allocation and prioritisationRepresenting the business area or function in the bank's learning and development meetings, presenting business cases to secure funding and resourcesPromoting the delivery of services and learning products through a consistent and functionally aligned operating model and appropriate channelsThe skills you'll need
We're looking for someone with strong knowledge of learning and development theories, models and practices, along with experience of operational and financial planning, and managing large budgets for business benefits and maximum efficiency.

A background in influencing diverse, professional teamsAn understanding of relevant legal policies, regulations and risk managementExperience of developing learning and development strategies in a complex business, and driving their use for strategic advantageExcellent consultancy skillsExperience of the banking industry, regulatory and commercial environmentSkills Required
