Are you passionate about the arts and love working in vibrant, fast-paced environments? We are looking for an enthusiastic Events and Functions Assistant to help deliver exceptional experiences across our dynamic cultural venues. In this exciting and varied role, you’ll support the delivery of venue hire, events, and functions across four of Lake Macquarie’s performing and visual arts spaces :
- Warners Bay Theatre, baramayiba
- Rathmines Theatre, nawayiba
- Museum of Art and Culture yapang
- Multi-Arts Pavilion, mima
No two days are the same! Under the direction of the Performing Arts Lead your duties will include :
Enhancing the visitor experience at our cultural venues through front of house bar operations and serviceVenue event setup and pack downFollowing and upholding venue Work, Health and Safety (WHS) standards and emergency response plans – including the provision of basic first aid and fire safety.Inventory stocktaking and maintenance of shared venue resources and equipmentActing as a venue hire service liaison to ensure smooth client experiencesRead the position statement and learn more about this exciting opportunity.
Conditions of Employment include :
28 hours per week across 7 days with a span of hours between 5am and 11pm.Based at Warners Bay Theatre, but the role will be expected to work across multiple locations (Warners Bay, Rathmines, Booragul and Speers Point)Hold or are willing to obtain a Working with Children CheckHold or are willing to obtain a First Aid certificateHold a current Responsible Service of Alcohol certificationHold a current NSW Drivers LicenseLET’S HEAR ABOUT YOU

You will have :
Demonstrated experience in hospitality and events supportExcellent communication skillsBasic administration skills and / or familiarity with ticketing platformsThe ability to work across a span of hours, including weekends and eveningsWe’re looking for someone who is :
