Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and execute comprehensive public relations strategies and campaigns to promote the company's consumer electronics products and services.
- Cultivate relationships with journalists, bloggers, influencers, and other media representatives to generate positive media coverage and increase brand visibility.
- Draft and distribute press releases, media kits, and other communication materials to announce new product launches, company initiatives, and other relevant news.
- Serve as the primary spokesperson for media inquiries and manage media relations activities, including arranging interviews, press conferences, and media events.
- Monitor media coverage and industry trends to identify opportunities and risks, and provide proactive recommendations to senior management.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Product Development, and Sales to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with overall business objectives.
- Manage crisis communication efforts by developing communication plans, drafting statements, and coordinating with internal stakeholders to address potential reputational risks.
- Oversee social media strategies and content creation, ensuring brand consistency, engaging with online communities, and addressing customer inquiries or concerns.
- Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of public relations initiatives through media monitoring, metrics, and KPIs, and provide regular reports to senior management.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in public relations and consumer electronics to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications and Skills :
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.Proven experience (5+ years) in corporate public relations, preferably within the consumer electronics or technology industry.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling messages for different target audiences.Excellent media relations skills and a network of media contacts in consumer electronics or technology publications.Demonstrated experience in managing PR campaigns, product launches, and crisis communications.Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities to assess and respond to potential risks and opportunities.Familiarity with digital marketing, SEO, and content management systems is a plus.(ref : iimjobs.com)
