The Position :

Job Title : City Head - Profit & Loss

Location : Mumbai & Pune

Department : Operations

Reporting To : COO

About the Role :

Lithium Urban Technologies is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of P&L - Operations Leader (Transport) to lead our transport operations in Pune & Mumbai. This leadership role is pivotal in driving operational efficiency, cost optimization, and strategic growth, while ensuring a high standard of service delivery and compliance with safety norms. The ideal candidate will be a results-driven leader with proven expertise in fleet operations, financial management, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities :

1. P&L Management :

  • Lead and own the Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibility for Mumbai & Pune transport operations.
  • Develop and implement cost-optimization strategies to maximize profitability.
  • Monitor and control operational expenditures while ensuring service excellence.
  • 2. Operational Excellence :

  • Oversee day-to-day fleet operations, ensuring productivity, compliance, and efficiency.
  • Optimize route planning, vehicle utilization, and turnaround time for enhanced performance.
  • Drive automation and technology adoption to enable seamless operational workflows.
  • Implement best practices for service reliability, maintenance, and on-road safety.
  • 3. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management :

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing operations team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Finance, and HR.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and regulatory authorities.
  • 4. Business Growth & Strategy :

  • Identify and drive growth opportunities and regional expansion in Hyderabad.
  • Formulate and execute long-term strategic plans to scale operations effectively.
  • Support the business development team in acquiring and managing new corporate clients.
  • 5. Compliance & Safety :

  • Ensure adherence to government regulations and internal safety standards.
  • Implement risk mitigation strategies for driver and vehicle safety.
  • Promote sustainable transport initiatives aligned with the company's green mobility mission.
  • Core Competencies & Qualifications :

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in transport operations, logistics, or fleet management.
  • Proven track record in P&L management and profitability improvement.
  • Expertise in scaling operations, cost structure optimization, and efficiency improvement.
  • Strong leadership experience in managing large teams and multi-functional stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with EV fleet operations will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
