Role Details

We welcome applications for an exciting opportunity for a Physical Education Teacher to join our wonderful SJMS school community.

• Be qualified and experienced to teach Physical Education Preschool – Year 6.
• Coordination of Sport’s Day, School Swimming Program, After-school sport, and sport carnivals.
• Demonstrate and apply knowledge and pedagogies of curriculum to support successful learning according to Australian Curriculum.
• Demonstrate an ability to differentiate the curriculum, utilising a variety of modes of learning and assessment, to provide personalised learning opportunities that guarantee access for all students, including those needing formalised adjustments.
• Have the ability to be creative and innovative in the use of spaces, materials and technologies.
• Articulate and demonstrate the ability to build strong relationships and support students in developing Personal Responsibility in a restorative environment.
• Demonstrate a collaborative approach to planning and programming, as well as prioritising discussion about practice and pedagogy.
• Develop and maintain collaborative, effective and respectful relationships with staff, students and parents in all aspects of the school environment.
