Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Vice President of Plant Operations, based in Pune. The Vice President will oversee plant operations, manage budgets, and strive to meet production goals while ensuring high levels of operational efficiency. Responsibilities include strategic planning, managing profit and loss (P&L), driving customer satisfaction, and coordinating cross-functional projects to ensure alignment with organizational objectives. The role will also involve optimizing processes and implementing initiatives for continuous improvement. Highly cost and quality conscious with expertise in managing state of art Machine tools of over 100 nos of wide variety and managing over 50 qualified engineers and 200 workmen in three shifts. Strong management skills with sharp focus on both Top and bottom lines.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Operations Management, including process optimization and resource allocation.
• Proven experience in P&L Management, with the ability to develop and manage budgets effectively.
• Exceptional skills in Customer Service and maintaining high-quality standards to meet stakeholder expectations.
• Proficiency in Strategic Planning to align operational strategies with organizational goals.
• Experience in Project Management, including the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and meet deadlines.
• Outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills to inspire and collaborate with diverse teams.
• Engineering degree an advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Familiarity with industry best practices and trends in plant operations is a plus.
• min of 20 years machine shop experience with at least 3 to 5 years in responsible senior management position
