Job Details : Job Summary :

As part of the Cubic Transportation Systems India HR team, the Senior HR Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management for their designated area.

They build strong strategic partnerships with their assigned leader(s) to develop, solution and implement people plans to include effective organization design, development and change management.

Responsible for shaping and delivering effective outcomes to meet the business objectives and deadlines.

They maintain up-to-date business knowledge of their assigned areas, and as part of the global HR team work collaboratively with the COEs to provide effective HR services across Talent Acquisition, Total reward, Talent management, Employee relations and compliance.

Reporting to the Director HR, India this position works under limited supervision and direction.

Incumbent will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authority.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Partners with the designated leader(s) to create and implement solutions to meet the business objectives across all areas of people management.
  • Accountable for delivering outcomes to the required deadlines.
  • Builds strong, effective relationships and gain in-depth business knowledge including the annual operating plan (AOP), strategic plan, financial performance, competitors, and culture.
  • Consults with line management, providing HR guidance and coaching when appropriate drawing on best practice, company policy and procedures, local law, and compliance.
  • Develops strong working relationship with the HR functional COEs to enable effective HR service delivery and solutions aligned to the assigned areas business objectives.
  • Actively encourages the use of self-service tools.
  • Shapes culture, keep pulse on employee engagement, working closely with management and employees to improve working relationships, build morale and retention.
  • Interpret employee engagement survey feedback and able to develop actions plans to address gaps.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the talent within your assigned area to inform decisions that align with strategic outcomes.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to critically assess current and future talent needs, including performance, potential, and readiness for growth opportunities.
  • Utilize data and insights to guide these talent decisions effectively.
  • Able to coach, mentor and effectively communicate HR concepts including performance, succession planning and talent programs.
  • May be required to deliver training from time to time.
  • Provide guidance on job design in accordance with the Cubic job architecture framework, collaborating with the compensation team to determine appropriate grade and salary levels.
  • Assist business leaders in the interviewing process for senior roles.
  • Develops and implements strategies to help the organization manage periods of change such as business restructures, growth or reduction, acquisitions, and functional and enterprise change programs.
  • Guides and drafts change plans and associated communications.
  • Proactive to analyse and provide data insight (supported by COEs) to inform effective decision making and aligned to the business KPIs.
  • Able to present and discuss data, developing corrective actions plans as needed.
  • Supports complex employee relations matters in partnership with employee relations and legal department.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and local employment legislation, able to upskill as required.
  • May be required to assist and / or lead HR projects as requested.
  • Provide support and back up to colleagues as required.
  • In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the job holder is required to perform other duties assigned by their manager from time-to-time, as may be reasonably required of them.

Minimum Job Requirements :

  • College degree in Human Resources or business area plus eight years of experience working as an HR generalist.
  • Must have a track record of providing strategic HR Business Partnering within IT, engineering, or service business supporting senior levels.
  • Prior experience of working within a global HR team desirable.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including talent acquisition, development, job design and compensation practices, diversity and inclusion, data analytics and performance management.
  • Must have an up to date and working knowledge of employment law and current HR trends.
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
  • Must demonstrates the ability to apply in-depth professional knowledge and experience to solution complex matters that align with the company objectives.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management : able to build effective networks across the business at all levels and demonstrates the ability to influence outcomes.
  • Ability to collaborate, with the interpersonal skills to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work at pace with a proven ability to manage to a deadline, manage ambiguity and adapt to change.
  • Ability to protect and handle confidential personnel information.
  • Demonstrates background in supporting employee engagement initiatives, driving a culture of diversity and inclusion.
  • Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organizations hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.
  • Self-learner and stays informed to latest HR trends.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer required.
  • Must be able to travel to visit assigned sites on a regular basis.
