Marketing Manager - Automotive
POSITION OBJECTIVE
Under the general direction of the COO the objective of this position is to take a leadership role in managing the market requirements, product & solution positioning, competitive intelligence, segmentation, pricing, lead generation, product launches, marketing programs, advertising, and events, of our client in the Automotive industry. Their vision is to be recognised as a global brand in high quality premium products and solutions for Logistics and Recreational sectors.
A critical component of the Marketing Manager role will be to partner with the CEO, COO, Country Managers and Sales Managers to develop a winning business strategy that accounts for current and future market conditions to grow market share.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Understand needs and requirements
- Work with senior management and subsidiaries and business units to understand their objectives and goals
- Understand the competitive landscape and how others have approached similar problems
- Familiarise with existing product and service offering and identify market gaps for new opportunities
- Manage and conduct market research to determine market requirements for existing and future productsinformation
- Understand the needs, challenges and expectations of end users
- Audit and report regularly on the as-is marketing, advertising, promotions and brand building activities for the company and its subsidiaries
- Contribute to Business Canvas development for new products and solutions for each market
- Identify opportunities for marketing improvements to increase sales and market share through the B2B, B2C and O2O sales channels for digital and bricks and mortar (Our Client's Pro shops) retail
2. Design and develop solutions to address these needs
Develop a marketing strategy that aligns with and enhances the business unit’s overall strategy and business objectivesDevelop a winning business plan (including budget) to increase sales and market share by leveraging market insight and foresightEnsure an effective go-to-market strategy, including brand building and product launchesContinue to drive a results- and metrics-oriented approach to marketing within the unitDevelop the organization’s capabilities ((ie move from 4P to7P) in o market requirements o market plans o product / solution positioning o competitive intelligence o segmentation o pricing o lead generationDevelop processes and disciplined approach to be used as company standard for data and information collectionDefine user market research or stories to execute the project and develop the final solutionDefine and set the standard for Our Client's Pro Retail shops globally and work with Thai andInternational subsidiaries, including POS systems, displays, layout, and product mix 3. Roll out the solutionImplement marketing strategyMonitor, review and report on all marketing activity and resultsInitiate and manage to completion marketing projects and initiativesWork with business units, product and solutions teams and other stakeholders to launch new products and solutions – these may include existing product enhancementsEducate and communicate to market on product and solution and brand positioningDevelop marketing documentation and implementation of Our Client's Pro Shop brand, product mix, systems and POS processes and standards with Thai and International subsidiaries3. General Responsibility
Develop and maintain cohesive marketing roadmap for corporate and align with regional requirementsSupport leadership team to develop clear and effective written marketing proposals for winning over current and prospective customers, Tenders and prospective partnerships, mergers and acquisitionsWorks with Sales and Customer Service Team to develop short and long term solutions to increase salesSupplies management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitors, and potential for new products and services.Keeps abreast of product applications, technical services, competitor activities, through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with global sales teamsCreate marketing presentationsLiaise with media and advertisingServe as a marketing “coach” to the leadership team4. Key Performance Indicators
A Key Indicator is to increase sales and market share in all markets and segments that the company participates – including a return on investment metricGrowth in brand awareness in depth, premium segment and brand valueManage self and assigned resources to achieve assigned Key Performance Indicators in order to achieve the company’s corporate goals as set out in the company business planDeliver marketing plans within agreed budget5. Minimum qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering or equivalent practical experienceMinimum 7 years of experience in marketing and sales in B2B or B2C (retail) inPreferred qualificationsMBA or Higher Degree or equivalent practical experienceExperience in marketing for one or more of the following : vehicle accessory, automotive, aftermarket, technically complex goods and servicesHave delivered corporate marketing strategy from concept to implementation (end to end) in digital and off-line channels, preferably in international settingSetup and execute flagship showroom and retailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsSKILLS
