Job Summary :
We are seeking an experienced Project Lead with a minimum of 5 years in financial services (FS) consulting, research, or private equity.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker and a proven leader, capable of owning and driving complex consulting engagements.
This high-impact role requires you to lead a team, collaborate with case teams on intellectual property (IP) development, and apply a Private Equity (PE) lens to evaluate FS opportunities.
You will be instrumental in delivering high-impact outcomes for clients, managing a team, and fostering strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities :
- Strategy & IP Development : Collaborate with case teams and practice leadership on ongoing cases, capability development, and intellectual property (IP) initiatives.
- You will contribute to the ideation and development of new IP, providing commercial insights for deployment across client engagements.
- Your role is to build deep domain expertise in FS IPs and methodologies, serving as a knowledge source for the broader team.
- Research & Analysis Execution : Drive structured problem-solving approaches, generate strategic hypotheses, and define analytical deliverables.
- You will lead the end-to-end execution of research and analysis streams, ensuring a high-impact, zero-defect output.
- You are expected to utilize advanced analytics tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, Python, or R to enhance team efficiency and output.
- Team Leadership & Management : Manage and mentor a team of 34 members, including Associates and Analysts.
- You will assign and oversee workstreams, monitor progress, and ensure balanced workloads and adherence to timelines.
- This includes guiding junior team members on project planning, research approaches, and fostering a high-performance culture through regular coaching and formal performance evaluations.
- Client Engagement & Relationship Management : Own and maintain strong client relationships, demonstrating adaptability to client needs and the ability to resolve complex issues.
- You will be responsible for communicating key insights and strategic recommendations to both internal and client stakeholders clearly and persuasively.
- You will apply a Private Equity lens in evaluating FS opportunities, including value creation strategies and market dynamics.
Required Skills & An undergraduate degree in B.Com, BBA, BBE, Economics, Statistics, or B.Tech, with an MBA from a top-tier institute being a preferred A minimum of 5 years in financial services consulting, research, or private equity.
Proven experience in delivering strategic consulting engagements for FS clients is essential.
Exposure to Private Equity-style analysis is a significant advantage.
Skills : Strong analytical, communication, and leadership capabilities.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
Hands-on knowledge of analytical tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, Python, or R is highly desirable.
Competencies : The ability to navigate ambiguity, multi-task, and consistently deliver high-quality outcomes under pressure.
