About the Project :
We are supporting the implementation of a Pan-African digital platform to empower youth and women in agriculture. The platform integrates learning, mentorship, community engagement, and financing tools, and will be rolled out in 7 African countries : Rwanda, Tanzania, Malawi, Mozambique, Ghana, Mali, and Burkina Faso.
Were looking for a Remote Assistant Project Manager to support the Lead Project Manager in coordinating this initiative across multiple partners and vendors.
Key Responsibilities :
- Support the Lead Project Manager in planning, executing, monitoring, and delivering the project across all 7 countries (Rwanda, Tanzania, Malawi, Mozambique, Ghana, Mali, Burkina Faso).
Develop & maintain project documentation :
Sprint plans, milestone schedules, deliverables trackerMeeting agendas and minutesRisk register, issue log, and change request logCoordinate weekly sprints / implementation cycles :
Track sprint goals, ensure team & vendor deliverables are on timeFollow-up with vendors and country-teams to resolve blockersPrepare regular status reports & summaries :
Weekly / bi-weekly status updates to Lead PMDashboard of progress vs plan, highlighting risks, deviationsPresentation slides / decks for stakeholder review meetingsEnsure alignment with the Business Requirements Document (BRD) and other key project specs :
Review deliverables to ensure compliance with requirementsFlag divergence early and suggest corrective actionsSupport cross-team collaboration :
Liaise between vendors, technology / design / content teams, country leads, local partnersFacilitate meetings (virtual), ensure clear agendas & outcomesCommunication & coordination across time zones :
Schedule meetings accommodating different African time zonesEnsure communication flows smoothly (email, internal tools, status calls)Maintain project quality & consistency :
Review deliverables, ensure they meet quality benchmarksHelp enforce standards (branding, UX, content style, usability etc.)Risk / issue management :
Identify potential risks early, propose mitigation plansTrack issues until resolution, escalate appropriatelyChange management :

Experience : 3-6 years of technical project managementRemote & multi-country work experience :
Comfortable working with teams / vendors in different countries; able to handle timezone constraints.Tools & methodologies :
Familiar with Agile / Scrum or similar sprint-based development cyclesExperience with project management & collaboration tools (Jira, Asana, Trello, Microsoft Project, Slack / Teams, Google Workspace etc.)Communication skills :
Excellent written and spoken EnglishStrong skills in preparing reports, slides, summaries for senior management & stakeholdersOrganizational skills :
