HR Operations Intern (Onboarding Team)

About the Role We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Operations Intern to join our Onboarding Team at Paytm. You will play a critical role in giving new hires a warm welcome, guiding them through their first day, and ensuring a seamless onboarding experience. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in HR operations and build a solid foundation in the employee lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
First-Day Welcome : Greet and guide new employees on their first day, helping them feel comfortable and informed. Orientation & Presentations : Support HR in conducting orientation sessions, preparing presentation materials, and facilitating sessions. Joining Formalities : Ensure completion of all joining formalities—new hire paperwork, policy acknowledgments, and other documentation. Employee Records Management : Maintain accurate employee records, both physical and digital, and update our digital filing systems. Cross-Functional Coordination : Liaise with Payroll, IT, Finance, and respective Team Managers to ensure smooth onboarding logistics (e.g., laptop allocation, access provision). Tracker Maintenance : Update and manage trackers (e.g., new joiner status, onboarding progress, probation timelines). Confidentiality Handling : Handle confidential HR information with care and discretion. Continuous Improvement : Provide feedback and suggest improvements for the onboarding process based on observations and interactions with new joiners.
Qualifications & Skills
Education : MBA in HR is preferred. Graduation degree (e.g., BBA, BA, etc.) may be accepted for exceptional candidates. Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable interacting with new hires and coordinating with multiple teams. Technical Skills : Basic proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or Google Workspace. Interpersonal Skills : Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and ability to build rapport. Confidentiality : Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive information with discretion. Organization : Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Adaptability : Able to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and work independently or as part of a team.
