The ideal candidate will have expertise in fluid mechanics, hydraulic circuit design, and system integration to ensure efficient and reliable performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop hydraulic circuits, components, and systems for various applications.
- Select and specify pumps, valves, actuators, pipes, hoses, and fittings based on system requirements.
- Perform hydraulic system analysis, calculations, and simulations to optimize performance.
- Develop schematics, layouts, and BOMs using CAD and hydraulic design software.
- Ensure designs meet industry standards and safety regulations (ISO, SAE, NFPA, etc.).
- Work closely with mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing teams for system integration.
- Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and validation of hydraulic components and systems.
- Optimize hydraulic efficiency, pressure losses, and thermal management.
- Provide technical support for prototyping, production, and field applications.
- Document designs, test results, and technical reports.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fluid Power Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in hydraulic system design and development.
- Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, hydraulic components, and control systems.
- Advantage if knowledge on hydraulic modeling and simulation software (HydroSym, Automation Studio, MATLAB, etc.).
- Experience with hydraulic testing, troubleshooting, and failure analysis.
- Familiarity with electro-hydraulic systems, proportional valves, and servo controls is a plus.
- Ability to read and create hydraulic schematics and technical documentation.
- Knowledge of hydraulic safety, contamination control, and filtration.
- Should have good experience in Solidworks.
