Modeler Piping (WET IC)

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR PLANT 3D MODELER

• 5-12 years of professional experience in 3D modeling, specifically in plant design, desalination, or similar industrial projects (e.g., water treatment, desalination plant, power plants).
• Extensive experience with 3D CAD software such as Autodesk Plant 3D , Navisworks, Revit.
• Develop and maintain detailed 3D models for desalination plant systems or water treatment plant, including mechanical, piping, structural, and electrical systems.
• Understanding P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), PMS & VMS.
• Extraction and Preparation of Plant Equipment Layout / Plot plan, Civil guide drawings, Piping layout, Tank GA, Isometrics Drawings & BOM.
• Strong knowledge in primary support placement as per Codes / MFG standard & secondary support modelling to facilitate the civil input.
• Shall be able to develop the civil guide drawings.
• Preparation of equipment nozzle orientation drawings.
• Participate in design review meetings – 30%, 60%, 90% & 100% model review.
• Work closely with lead engineers to interpret and translate design specifications into 3D models for construction
• Collaborate with civil, mechanical, electrical, and piping engineers to integrate systems and design models.
• Perform clash detection and conflict resolution in collaboration with other engineering disciplines
• Ensure that all models are coordinated and free of interferences between systems (mechanical, electrical, piping, etc.).
• Assist in the creation of construction drawings and fabrication details based on 3D models
• Generating Bill of material report for Pipes and fittings, hardware’s etc.
• Preparation of As-Built drawing as per plant installation and document as necessary.
• Provide support during the construction phase by answering technical questions related to 3D models and supporting field operations.
• Participate in site visits as required to resolve issues related to the model and ensure it aligns with real-world conditions.
• Familiarity with international design codes and standards related to desalination and water treatment plants.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications or training in 3D modeling and design software are a plus.
• Interested candidates will be required to undergo a tool test in AutoCAD Plant 3D.
