Job Description
Develop and model piping systems using AVEVA E3D software based on P&IDs, equipment layouts, and engineering input.
Prepare piping layouts, general arrangement drawings (GA), isometrics, and support drawings.
Ensure proper routing of piping, compliance with design codes, and clash-free models.
Coordinate with process, mechanical, civil, and structural teams for interdisciplinary inputs.
Conduct model reviews (30%, 60%, 90%) with engineering leads and clients.
Support fabrication and construction teams by providing detailed drawings and resolving design queries.
Participate in design safety reviews (HAZID, HAZOP) as required.
Implement redline markups and ensure as-built updates in E3D.
Work under the direction of lead piping engineers and project managers.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of international piping codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, API, etc.).
Requirements
Education :
Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Piping Design certification.
Experience :
5+ years in piping design in the EPC industry.
Minimum 2–3 years hands-on experience in AVEVA E3D (preferred over PDMS).
Experience in oil & gas, refinery, chemical, or power plant projects.
Technical Skills :
Proficient in AVEVA E3D for 3D modeling and design.
Familiar with related tools : AutoCAD, Navisworks, SmartPlant Review, MS Office.
Strong knowledge of piping materials, valves, fittings, and codes (ASME B31.3, B31.1).
Understanding of pipe stress, flexibility analysis basics (nice to have).
