Job Description
Develop detailed piping layouts , isometric drawings , P&IDs , and 3D models using AutoCAD Plant 3D.
Prepare piping GA drawings , support drawings , and bill of materials (BOM) .
Interpret P&IDs, piping specifications, and equipment data sheets for accurate modeling.
Coordinate with process, mechanical, structural , and electrical disciplines for integrated designs.
Review and incorporate vendor and client data into piping layouts.
Ensure compliance with project standards , codes (ASME, ANSI, API), and EPC best practices .
Perform site visits for data collection, as-built documentation, and clash resolution when required.
Participate in model reviews and resolve clashes using Navisworks or similar tools .
Maintain document control and revision tracking of all design deliverables.
Knowledge of other design tools (e.g., SmartPlant, Caesar II for stress review).
Experience with 3D model integration with other disciplines.
Familiarity with international codes (ASME B31.3, B31.1, API).
Requirements
Diploma / degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
3–7 years of experience as a piping designer in the EPC industry .
Proficient in AutoCAD Plant 3D , Navisworks , and associated Autodesk tools.
Strong knowledge of piping materials , routing , and supports .
Familiarity with EPC project workflow , including FEED, detailed engineering, and construction deliverables.
Experience working on Oil & Gas , Petrochemical , Power , or Chemical plant projects preferred.
Good communication and team collaboration skill
