About the Founder and Owner :
Anuj Gupta brings a rare blend of technical expertise, global business experience, and entrepreneurial drive. He graduated from IIT Delhi in 2000, holds a Master's degree from the University of Michigan (2004), and earned his MBA from Columbia Business School in New York. His career includes leadership roles at McKinsey & Company, Anheuser-Busch, and over a decade of experience running private equity investments in California, focusing on scaling businesses. Job Description :
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and own the brand strategy for NOOLS, positioning it as an aspirational yet affordable brand for India's mass market.
- Craft communication and campaigns that resonate with rural consumers while maintaining broad national appeal.
- Design and execute rural activation programs, community engagement, and grassroots campaigns.
- Partner with sales and distribution teams to build brand pull in tier 2 / 3 towns and villages.
- Lead development of packaging, messaging, and visual identity tailored to Indian cultural sensibilities.
- Drive market research and consumer insights, especially from rural and semi-urban audiences, to refine product and communication strategy.
- Collaborate with trade marketing to ensure brand consistency across retail touchpoints.
- Monitor brand health, market share, and consumer engagement metrics, with a focus on rural penetration.
- Act as the brand storyteller, ensuring the NOOLS vision is communicated authentically across all channels.
Key Requirements :
MBA in Marketing or related field, with 6-10 years of experience in FMCG brand management.Proven track record of building and scaling FMCG brands in India, especially with rural and semi-urban consumers.Strong experience in grassroots marketing, consumer activations, and below-the-line campaigns.Deep understanding of rural distribution, consumer behavior, and affordability-driven brand building.Creative mindset with strong communication skills, able to translate brand vision into powerful consumer stories.Ability to work closely with sales, distribution, and product development teams in a fast-paced startup environment.Success Metrics :
