Position :   Business Development Associate– Sales (SAAS)

Position Type : Full time / Permanent.

Department : Sales

Location : Central Bangalore

Experience Required : 2- 5 years in sales, including experience selling SAAS products in India and working with distributors and resellers.

Role Overview :

  • The Business development Associate will be responsible for managing and driving sales growth of SAAS products in India.
  • This is a field-based role that involves extensive travel to build relationships with clients and resellers, identify new market opportunities, and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Based in Central Bangalore, the position requires on-site client interactions, conducting product demonstrations, and ensuring successful execution of sales strategies.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Sales Development :

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in targeted regions within India.
  • Build a strong sales pipeline by engaging with potential clients and distributors.
  • 2. Client and Distributor Management :

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients and distributors.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Negotiate and finalize contracts with partners.
  • 3. Market Research and Analysis :

  • Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements in India.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to refine sales strategies and product offerings.
  • Stay updated on relevant trade regulations and compliance requirements.

    Product Demonstrations and Presentations :

  • Conduct on-site and virtual product demonstrations tailored to the needs of clients.
  • Develop compelling sales presentations to showcase product value and benefits.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to create region-specific promotional materials.
  • 5. Travel and Field Engagement :

  • Travel extensively within India to meet clients, distributors, and resellers.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and client meetings.
  • Strengthen relationships with key stakeholders through regular face-to-face interactions.
  • 6. Reporting and CRM Management :

  • Use CRM tools to manage leads, track sales activities, and analyse performance metrics.
  • Prepare and present sales reports to the management team, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and sales activities.
  • 7. Collaboration and Strategy Development :

  • Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, logistics, and finance, to ensure seamless execution of sales orders.
  • Contribute to the development of long-term strategies for expanding markets in India.
  • Provide feedback to product teams on client requirements and preferences.
  • Required Skills and Qualifications :

    Educational Background : Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or a related field (MBA preferred).

    Experience :

  • 2-5 years of experience in sales, including selling SaaS products in India.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Sales Skills :

  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Technical Proficiency : Familiarity with CRM tools for managing sales pipelines and client data.
  • Communication :    Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with fluency in English and any regional languages (preferred).
  • Travel Readiness : Willingness to travel and meet clients.
