We are looking for an agile, motivated, and dedicated individual to join our APAC Property and Casualty Operations Team in Bangalore as a
Reinsurance Operations Associate .
The APAC Operations team is part of the P&C Reinsurance Division , managing in-force reinsurance business end-to-end. In this role, you will be responsible for reinsurance accounts and claims handling, ensuring full contractual compliance. You will work within a structured policy and process framework, with the opportunity to suggest improvements. The position includes managing a portfolio of APAC clients and collaborating with internal and external partners in a dynamic, evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end processing of reinsurance accounts including premiums, claims, brokerage
- Ensure accuracy in financial transactions and adherence to process, quality, and control standards
- Timely and accurate handling of claims, including proper indexation and data capture
- Maintain portfolio financials and ensure timely fund collection (Accounts Receivable)
- Manage follow-ups and escalate unresolved issues appropriately
- Ensure compliance with all internal, external, and regulatory reporting requirements
- Effectively manage own workload to meet service and business expectations
- Engage directly with internal partners and external clients to resolve operational issues
- Ensure professional client communication and take ownership of service quality
- Collaborate across teams, functions, and geographies to meet internal client needs
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Line Manager
About the Team
You will be part of a skilled and motivated team of Technical Accountants, Claims Examiners, and Operations Associates supporting APAC reinsurance portfolios. The team collaborates daily across regions and shares a continuous improvement mindset, aiming to deliver efficient and risk-aware services to clients and internal stakeholders.
About You
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Insurance, or related fieldsAt least 2 years of experience in reinsurance, insurance, banking, accounting, or finance operationsProficient in Microsoft Office; strong numerical aptitudeStrong verbal and written communication skillsSelf-motivated team player with a high sense of accountability and commitmentCapable of working effectively in a team, including in virtual or cross-functional setupsAble to challenge the status quo and manage multiple business partnersExposure to digital tools, automation, or big data is a plusInsurance / Finance-related certifications are an added advantageSkills Required
