Job Summary

We are seeking a Result Driven and Responsible Corporate Social Responsibility Manager to lead and execute the bank's CSR strategy. This middle management role requires a postgraduate degree and expertise in developing long-term ESG and social impact initiatives aligned with the banking sector's mission. The manager will be instrumental in Delegating tasks, fostering Stakeholder Collaboration with NGO Accounts and government bodies, establishing governance frameworks, and designing robust systems to Deliver Results by measuring and communicating the social and sustainable impact of all programs.

Job Description :

CSR Strategy and Program Development :

  • Develop, implement, and continuously refine the bank's long-term CSR strategy and annual operating plans, ensuring strategic alignment with the organization's mission, values, and global ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) commitments.
  • Identify pressing societal needs relevant to the banking sector and design innovative, sustainable CSR programs that deliver measurable, deep social impact.
  • Lead the implementation of approved initiatives, effectively Delegating tasks and ensuring coordination across internal teams and external partners to maintain project timelines and quality standards.

Governance, Compliance, and Impact Measurement :

  • Establish transparent governance frameworks, technical policies, and detailed procedures for all CSR activities, ensuring strict compliance with all regulatory norms relevant to the banking industry and social sector best practices.
  • Design and execute robust monitoring frameworks utilizing data-driven insights and quantitative methodologies to accurately measure, evaluate, and communicate the effectiveness, reach, and return on social investment (SROI) of CSR initiatives.
  • Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of ESG metrics related to social performance for internal reporting and external regulatory submissions.
  • Partnership, Collaboration, and Stakeholder Management :

  • Strategically build, cultivate, and nurture high-impact partnerships with governments, specialized NGO Accounts, corporate foundations, academic institutions, and social enterprises to scale impact and efficiently leverage financial and non-financial resources.
  • Drive effective Stakeholder Collaboration and Stakeholder Management across all phases of the program, acting as the primary point of contact for external partners and providing seamless Team Coordination with internal business units.
  • Oversee the creation of compelling Social Media Content and broader communication materials to clearly articulate the bank's CSR narrative and impact to internal and external audiences.
  • Advocacy and Thought Leadership :

  • Represent the Bank at national and international forums, conferences, and sector platforms, positioning the institution as a thought leader in social impact and sustainable banking practices.
  • Author insightful articles, white papers, and research pieces, engaging in advocacy platforms to influence policy and innovation within the wider social impact and sustainability sector.
  • Required Skills & Qualifications :

    Experience : Mandatory experience in developing, implementing, and managing Corporate Social Responsibility or Sustainability programs, preferably within the Banking or Financial Services sector.

    Functional Expertise : Deep knowledge of CSR principles, ESG frameworks, and hands-on experience managing NGO Accounts and government liaison activities.

    Leadership Core : Proven ability to be Result Driven, highly Responsible, and effective at Delegation and delivering results across an organization.

    Stakeholder Management : Exceptional skills in Stakeholder Management, Stakeholder Collaboration, and complex Team Coordination across internal and external groups.

    Communication : Proven ability to develop strategic Social Media Content and communication strategies for social impact programs.

    Education : Mandatory Postgraduate or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Work, Business Administration, Environmental Studies, Public Policy).

    Preferred Skills :

    Impact Measurement : Expertise in using software or methodologies for quantitative impact measurement (e.g., Logical Framework Approach, SROI analysis).

    Sustainability Reporting : Familiarity with international reporting standards such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) or Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD).

    Banking Domain : Specific experience integrating CSR initiatives with financial inclusion, financial literacy, or green financing projects.

    Project Management : Certification in project management (PMP, PRINCE2) to efficiently manage complex, multi-year initiatives.

    Digital Tools : Proficiency in CRM or project management tools for tracking partner engagement and program performance.
